What Is the Ideal Protein Method?
The Ideal Protein method is a medically designed protocol that promotes weight loss while sparing muscle mass. Developed by Dr. Tran Tien Chanh, MD, PhD in France over 20 years ago, the program was born from decades of clinical research focused on obesity treatment and nutrition science.
The program combines high-quality protein foods, structured carbohydrate restriction, and personalized one-on-one coaching to produce consistent, measurable results. Participants don't just lose weight — they learn the skills to keep it off for life.
How It Works
The protocol works by reducing carbohydrate intake to trigger a state of ketosis — a metabolic condition in which the body burns stored fat as its primary fuel source, instead of relying on dietary sugars and starches.
By combining carbohydrate restriction with high-quality protein intake, the program:

The Three Phases
Phase 1: Weight Loss
During the weight loss phase, carbohydrate intake is restricted to induce and maintain ketosis. You'll consume Ideal Protein foods supplemented with whole vegetables and lean proteins. You remain in this phase until you reach your goal weight — with weekly check-ins and coaching from Dr. Zeaiter to track progress and adjust as needed.
Phase 2: Stabilization (2+ Months)
After reaching your goal weight, your body naturally wants to return to its prior state. This phase lasts a minimum of two months and gradually reintroduces carbohydrates while carefully monitoring protein and fat intake. The goal is to train your metabolism to maintain your new weight without relying on the protocol foods.
Phase 3: Maintenance (12 Months)
For one year following stabilization, you'll receive ongoing education, support, and semi-annual "tune-up" check-ins with Dr. Zeaiter. The companion app and Wi-Fi scale keep you connected and accountable, ensuring the habits you've built last a lifetime.
